Software Defect Prediction

Hongyu Zhang
Associate Professor
Tsinghua University

Abstract :

Software quality assurance is a resource and time-consuming task. In recent years, research on software defect prediction has drawn the attention of many researchers in the software engineering field. Various methods are developed to predict the defect-proneness of a module and defect counts before the defects are actually discovered. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the work on software defect prediction and its recent development. I will also introduce my work on the analysis and prediction of software defects, especially on the metrics-based defect prediction.

Bio:

Hongyu Zhang received the PhD degree in computer science from the School of Computing, National University of Singapore in 2003.
