I am a second year Ph.D. candidate enrolled in Department of Computer Science and Technology and a member of LAMDA Group, led by Professor Zhi-Hua Zhou. Before my Ph.D. journey, I had already been working in the high-tech industry as a moble/fullstack engineer for approximately four years, following my early education. I completed my bachelor degree in applied science (APSC) at University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada, and then continued to attain a master degree in electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) at University of California, Berkeley (UCB), where my thesis focused on robotics. During the years in industry, I discovered my interest in finance, so I acquired a certificate in financial modelling from Whaton School of Business at University of Pennsylvia. To further deepen my understanding and improve my tehcnical sckills, I decided to pick the current research direction - reinforcement learning powered quantitative trading - which combines the world-leading cutting-edge tehcnologies with finance.
